Invest In Your Global Information Architecture Community

Next February, the 4th annual World IA Day will happen all over the world, in 38 cities across 24 countries. World IA Day is an initiative of the Information Architecture Institute, a professional organization. World IA Day has the tradition of being an impressive day-long educational event and this tradition is only made possible thanks to sponsors. In return, we want our sponsor experiences to be equally memorable.

World IA Day is a great way to engage the information architecture community. Our attendees are spread equally across levels of experience. They include information architects, interaction designers, user experience consultants, academic staff, executives and students.

Based on our year-to-year growth, we estimate that over 4000 people will attend a World IA Day event in 2015. About 35% of the attendees will be from North America, about 34% from Europe the remaining 31% from locations across 4 continents - Asia, Africa, Oceania and South America. There is an even split between those who work inside client corporations and those who work for consultancies and agencies.

While we do have sponsorship tiers for both global and local sponsorship, it is important to keep in mind that these are only suggested levels. Our first priority is to find a level that works for your own company or organizational goals. If you have another idea in mind, let's talk about it. We're committed to a positive sponsorship experience.

To run a free, global event, we need to:

  • Host worldiaday.org
  • Provide assistance to those locations who lack the resources to secure a free venue, audio and visual support, and other essential event needs.
  • Issue certificates of event insurance to those venues that require it
  • Make our content properly accessible for the purposes of archiving and sharing with the world

To make it truly first-rate, we seek:

  • Quality live streaming video and fast wifi at all locations
  • To provide 4000+ people a cup of tea or coffee and a snack
  • A high quality introduction video translated into each local language that will unite all the locations under one common theme

In just one day, your organization’s message could be seen by 4000+ people in 38 locations across the Globe. Gain access to information architecture thought-leaders from all regions of the world.

World IA Day is about bringing the information architecture community together. We're fostering links within the local communities and on a global scale. We're sharing information, ideas, and research. And we're doing it through unconventional, exciting, and engaging IA events next February. We are a free event, open and accessible to the public.

World IA Day is a one day event that occurs simultaneously across the world. Nearly 2400 people attended WIAD 2014.

World IA Day 2014 attendees lived in 24 cities from 15 countries across 6 continents.

2015 represents 38 participating cities, a growth of 63% from 2014 with attendees from 24 countries across 6 continents.

Attendees include information architects, user experience designers, scholars, students, content strategists, entrepreneurs, business leaders, developers and others interested in learning and discussing IA.

We believe in working with sponsors to find the very best opportunity to meet your needs. Let's work together to create a partnership in support of this truly global community event. Contact us at sponsorship@worldiaday.org
